Ubisoft - Rayman Legends leak is real, trailer doesn't represent final game or Wii U controller

"An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins' sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier." - Ubisoft statement

I'm just happy Ubisoft addressed the issue and didn't try to sweep it under the rug. I'm sorry the video leaked, but at least Ubisoft is being classy about it! Thanks to Tom for the heads up.

Why would they make a trailer like that if it's only to show it off to the people working on the game. The Wii u wasn't the final version but I expected this to be the e3 reveal

Oh so it IS a sequel to Origins. Not a remake

I guess I might have to go pick up Origins now :)

That's good to hear, assuming it's truthful. That explains the fact that the trailer would call it Wii-U, leaving some hope open for a rename. That and the differences between the controllers shown at E3 last year and the one in the video, with a cord and what not. I'm still hoping the system gets a new name and a new look for the unit itself. The Wii-U just looks so bland right now. It doesn't stand out at all. I feel like it could just as easily be a computer casing or a cheap DVD player. It should look boxier like game consoles used too. Or just make it look like a Super Nintendo. That'd be fine too.

Maybe it was a pitch trailer for the marketing team or something, otherwise I don't see the point of making a game trailer to show to the same people making the game.

Expected it but I'm glad that they are saying the final game isn't those images. I would be pretty disappointed in how the game already looks compared to Rayman Origins if it was.

@LegendofSantiago It's probably part of a concept presentation to the team working on the game. I guess it's kinda fun surprising your own team!
