Pokedex 3d was cool for a freebie but I'm not exactly sure if I would buy this new version.

As cool as Pokédex 3D Pro sounds, as a resource it probably still won't beat Serebii. Not to mention I can access the latter on multiple devices and it's totally free!
The original was fun to fiddle around with at first, but I never really used it for reference much to begin with. I doubt if this carries a hefty price tag I'll even bother with it.

Honestly I wanted to use it mid-game when I saw the Pokemon and needed the info... which sounds like the proper way to use it. But it's an app of its own so you can't even use it while the game is suspended. Especially since it's a DS game.
The browser, luckily, did just that. I would suspend the game and just visit Serebii or The Pokemon Database sites and use those as a proper Pokedex and strategy guides.
On another note, the evolved forms of the "god-like" trio are a joke. How do you go from an epic form where you sit on a cloud with arms crossed while looking down on everything like a boss to some skinny, somewhat cool looking animal form? Should've been the first forms instead.
Hm... I realized that the artwork for the past characters are all reused from the most recent generation they appeared in. Meaning that Brock, Misty, Gary (or Blue, whatever) and Giovanni, all have their HG/SS artwork while Steven has his R/S/E artwork and Cynthia has her D/P/Pt artwork.
You'd think that they'd change their appearances for B2/W2 unless B2/W2 take place at the same time as G/S/C/HG/SS?
At least they actually look original now. The first pure flying type was a man on a cloud. WOAHOAWOHAW
Now it actually passes for a flying type. The other two look great as well IMO. They look distinct and original.
These formes were needed, I think. And if these were the first forms, I don't think anyone would have wanted second forms, especially if they looked like men on clouds, differentiated by colors. Barely looked like Pokemon in the first place
On topic, I hope the new Pokedex doesn't cost 10$ when that gets here. Would buy at 6$ though. The shooter game looks like fun, and it has actual use, plus a 3$ price, so I'll definitely get that one.

Well, I gotta say it was really cheap of them to use the same art and simply change the color and alter minor details to that one drawing. And I do agree that they barely looked like Pokemon. But if they're going to make some godly figure (which they could've done better IMO) it just feels weird that they suddenly turn into animal things from being these god-like looking creatures. Like a regression of sorts. But w/e, just my two cents.
