Pachter - E3 2012 to be 'boring', no new IPs or consoles

“It'll be one of the more boring ones. We are in the unprecedented 6th and 7th year of the cycle. The industry isn’t that exciting because it’s all sequels, no new IPs, no new consoles and fewer games. So E3 is, by definition, just not going to be as exciting or interesting as it’s been in the past.” - Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter

Man, this is a real head-scratcher to me. Does the Wii U not count as a 'new' console because we saw it last year? Man, the damn thing doesn't even get a chance to hit store shelves before it's old news in Pachter's book.

How does Pachter know there are no new IPs? Oh, wait a minute...that's not true at all! Look at Injustice, for one!

I'm a firm believer of not saying anything when you have nothing nice to say. The world has enough negativity. Unfortunately, it seems like Pacther is more than willing to throw his negative attitude out there.
