UPDATE! Wii U might use Friend Codes? Or not?
This is something that a lot of people don't want to hear. It appears that Nintendo hasn't ruled out using Friend Codes for Wii U. David Gibson,Head of Software & Services for Macquarie Capital Securities Japan tweeted that Nintendo hasn't ruled Friend Codes out, but making friends on Wii U will be a lot simpler.
UPDATE:
Or not? Shane Satterfield has tweeted that he was told that Friend Codes are gone.
"Oh yeah, was confirmed to me today that friend codes are gone for Wii U."
