I think these look very tacky, honestly- I hope they're fake.
That blue would just clash terribly with so many boxarts- imagine how the subtle whites and greys of The Last Story would be ruined by it; not to mention boxarts that do have color, but the colors clash with blue. Neutral colors like black, white, or grey are the way to go with those big borders.
Also, I really just want Nintendo to get rid of those DVD-sized boxes. They're big and clumsy; why can't we have nice, short boxes like on the PS1/PS3/3DS? The disc will still fit.
I don't like them. Gamecube boxes look fine but this... The colors are ugly and I don't like the logo. Not a big deal, but there is definite room for improvement.
The 2nd coming of GameCube! I'd be fine with this. They just better not reuse the current box art but put "U" after Wii. They need to visually show that Wii and Wii U are different on the box.
I'm really not a fan of the shade of blue they use for the Wii U logos (like here, and NSMBU, for example). It's just bland, I don't know why exactly. Seems to clash with all three of these boxarts something fierce, as well.
Other than the colour, though, this looks fine if it's real. Definitely different enough from the Wii stripe.
Edit: Upon further consideration I don't mind the colour so much, it looks nice enough and doesn't draw too much attention.
i like it. im a big fan of the blue color nintendo has been using lately. as with many others, i hope the cases will be blue in color. though the yellow, while im fine with it.. i havent seen one dash of yellow used in any wii-u anything, that has come out.. so that is a little peculiar.
I say leave it white with the gray Wii letters and the blue U (the logo we've been show up till now in other words). Same shape. That blue/yellow combo won't have universal appeal with most boxes that have their own "theme" color palette. They're better off again, keeping it white or making it black.
Or maybe, this is a marketing ploy to keep consumers that usually buy physical copies away from them and make digital downloads a huge success, .
I really don't think they'd go with the yellow outline on blue, those colours look horrible together. Change that yellow to white/silver and that would look pretty authentic, though.
It's because it clashes it works, it separates itself from the art so your brain can easily filter it out. Also seems like it will blend really well with the colour of the actual box too so major plus for that.

I like it ^.^ it looks strangely appealing with the blue. This is infinitely better than the other mock ups with just the "U" added to a Wii boxart

Remove the yellow and I'm cool with it.
I was really hoping for 3DS like boxes.
That ugly blue with a yellow outline....yuck.
Looks good, if it's not the real thing, then I'm fine.
It looks great, hopefully it's real.

I kinda like It
It's nice, It's simplistic and it's easy on the eyes
looks straight outta the 90's.
GameCube-like? I can totally dig it.
I think the blue should be darker... more... indigo...
Haha. Just realized that, lol.
Ubi, never change xD.
Not bad. Don't like that yellow streak under the blue, but otherwise I think it works.

Those actually look pretty good. I prefer it over Wii, at least.
Yikes, these are hideous. :/
That yellow outline x^U!!!

The Assassin's Creed boxart shows up just like that too on Best Buy's website.

Actually looks pretty good, I think. But I will guess this is just a placeholder~
The yellow stroke is the only thing that needs removing [change it to white/silver] - awesome boxart design [if true], though!
