As you know, yesterday I posted up a feature that looked at the disgusting reaction gamers had to Bayonetta 2 on Wii U. It's definitely one of the darker reactions I've ever seen. People talking like that should be absolutely ashamed. Hell, I'm ashamed for them...as well as being lumped in with them just because I'm a gamer.

I refuse to call these folks "fans" - that outrage was very much uncalled for.
Fans will buy the game no matter what system it's on. Those guys can't be called "fans" or even "gamers".
It's pretty dumb. It seems like the case was that Bayonetta 2 either gets canceled or becomes a Wii U exclusive. And apparently fans would rather Bayonetta 2 be canceled?
Whatever. Bayonetta 2 has sold me on the Wii U (maybe not at launch, but somewhere down the line around Bayonetta 2's release
I've never even played the first game but wow those are some overzealous turd bags. Can't say I've ever reacted like this to any video game.
I loved my PS2 but there was never anything about the PS3 that made me want to run out and buy one. I got one recently just because my older brother didn't want his anymore. Never had any interest in getting any Xbox system either. Venomous hate for Nintendo is also beyond stupid especially for one game that wouldn't exist without them. They really do need to get over themselves.

If I were a fan, I'd a buy Wii"U" just for it. Hell I've bought a psp and a PS2 just to play KH 2 & BBS. I consider myself a true KH fan.

These are the reaction of TRUE gamers aka "hardcore" gamers.

I disagree that true fans would buy the system. True fans can be upset that they now have to buy the console. If they like the game that much they'll get over it and buy it for the game and other games. If you ask me, the line is drawn when people threaten suicide or ending of the lives of the developers whose games they're supposedly fans of. I know plenty of people who were upset when Final Fantasy VII was announced to be on PlayStation rather than the N64.

Agreed, and i hate that it probably makes us as gamers look bad in the process (even though we had nothing to do with it) just from what a handful of fools has done. I just hope the devs brush this off and dont even bother noticing it, or at least i hope japan's reaction is just as bad so us as americans dont look as trite as these guys make us seem. I fully expect jim sterling to rip these guys a new asshole in a few days with one of his videos.
Most the people complaining or rather acting that way obviously aren't real gamers, just the typical trash the internet seems to spew.
While the complaint of being exclusive is fair. This kind of reaction is disgusting and are the type of people not meant to be gaming period

Just imagine the hate Nintendo would get if they manage to secure something like Final Fantasy versus XIII as an exclusive. The meltdown would be just as bad if not worse.
Ill do one better..if nintendo funded a final fantasy VII remake exclusive to the Wii U. It would severely hit the fan

I bought a 360 initially solely for RE5. Obviously that wasn't the ONLY THING I got the 360 for, but that was what pushed me, since I am a HUGE Resident Evil fan.
Was RE5 the best? No. But I had no regrets getting the system. A lot of unexpected games I wound up loving.
That's what a fan/gamer does. Even if it doesn't make sense financially.
50 emo Cloud and Tiffa (aka the most annoying character in the game) obsessed people would hang themselves within 10 seconds of the announcement, judging by the reaction to Bayonetta 2 being a WiiU exclusive release.
