Why haven't we seen Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed for 3DS yet?

Here's an answer from Sumo Digital...

On the handheld platforms, we've not shown anything for a couple of reasons. Mainly it's been a question of making sure the framerate is sorted so any visuals we show are indicative of the final game. We don't want to show anything misleading, as if we have to pull back on detail or textures, you'd then (rightly) complain that early shots don't match the final product.

Let's hope that the final framerate isn't anything that causes hiccups during gameplay. Getting a bit nervous about this one!

"We don't want to show anything misleading" So...what about that wii U demo?

well actually that was said during the discussion saying that the framerate on wii u was fixed and the guy pointed out that the demo should have only been behind closed door that's why they didn't release a better demo .... so basically instead of showing the unfinished product , they know now that they should not to avoid any misunderstanding .

I still think that if the game was shown on ps3 like that , it would not have been such a big deal and journalists would have listened to what the developer is saying .... at the same time it's sumo , and they might have dropped dirt wii u for that game

They aren't meant to show you the final product. These are created just to give a general idea of what they're going for or what is possible with their ideas. It's why you don't take that Gamecube and Wii U Zelda visual demos seriously as a new games.

When something is stable enough to give an idea, a rough draft, of the game in development, it's shown. If it's good enough for the public to see, it's playable on the show floor and/or given away as magazine bonuses, example.

Yes, bad demos give bad impressions, but nothing's final until everything's ready to be sold.

That was meant to be shown behind closed doors. That's also probably why they are being more careful with the 3DS version, to precent a similar run of bad press for that version as well.

We're not that far from release, though. Isn't it supposed to go gold soon, or are the handheld versions getting delayed?

Same reason they held off showing Sonic Generations 3DS for so long - it's quick cash-in port.

I can't be that much of one if I'm getting the Wii U version... :)

A lot of Wii games ends up not being shown ever before launch. The finished product is usually something not like the others with ugly visuals (far worse than what the system is capable of), unnecessarily bad and/or "different" controls, and missing key features. Offenders: WWE games, Madden, FIFA, Spider-man, Need For Speed. There's more. There's a whole LOT more.
I just hope they're not doing something bad for 3DS. I don't want third party companies to treat 3DS like the Wii had been. Launch day is nearing. Media and Publis game shows have passed. Launch day is just over a month away and they STILL haven't shown the 3DS version. It must not be good.
No one should be embarrassed to want to show off a good game. My guess is that the developers gave it the least amount of attention at work, and it's gonna be crap.
