That is actually a pretty good deal that I might have to use every once in awhile.

That's pretty cool. It gives more incentive to purchase digital games. I still won't pay full price for a digital copy, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. I wonder if this applies to the e-shop games as well.

I think I'll keep getting physical games most of the time, but it's still a nice deal, even if I'll probably only use it for download-only games.

Wow! That is ridiculous. A good way to not completely undercut retail, while still rewarding consumers that buy digital, which is better for the company.

points@sonic7877

Yeah it would be cool if any game you buy it would give you points but they most likely won't

Funny how nobody in the media was talking about THIS part when they were bitching about the price of the system ... *smh*

Because Nintendo barely even mentioned it. Japan made a way bigger deal out of it than NOA did.

Well it DOES say "all Wii U games and content downloaded at the Nintendo eShop".

So, I buy two or 3 retail titles and I can buy vc and eshop games with the "free money "?
Yeah, I'm going to be doing that

This is a really good deal. Makes me think twice on what I want to but as digital.

Well they seem to be stepping their online when it comes to online purchases let's just hope they do the same when it comes to online gameplay. So far i'm doubting it.

Yup, this is how I understood it when it was announced. I'll most likely only be buying digital-only titles off the eShop, but that still makes this a good deal.

Um, this may just be my nerd talking... but isn't 10% of $59.99 only about 5.99, NOT 599?

10% of $59.99 = 599 points. 500 points = $5. So, yes.

@Chosenoneknuckles

The points are to redeem a voucher for $5. The shop system is the same as 3DS, using real $ value

... Or sweet £s in my case - wohoo! :)

I don't think Sony use points, do they? Will be interesting to see if MS chooses to carry on alone with them on the X-Box 8. :P

That is pretty awesome.

Also very awesome how it states you can get points from using download codes bought from retailers, ie you can still get the game for the price you like from the retailer you like, not directly from the eshop or whatever and still get these points. Best of all worlds!
