“We are very keen on developing on 3DS. We think about how to take advantage of the 3D. The only difference between 2D and 3D games is whether you use sprites or polygons so a 3D game can be made into a 2D game. So it’s not a preference of 2D or 3D, it’s the quality of the game itself. But my preference is 2D. It’s hard to preserve the quality of the game when you make it completely in 3D.” - Treasure president Masato Maegawa
Whatever Treasure does, I'll be very interested to see it. They always manage to put together something that tickles my fancy!

I can only imagine Sin & Punishment in 3D...
I want that so back after Kid Icarus Uprising
Treasure has my attention. Can't wait to hear what they are making.
Again, Mischief Makers 2. In 3D.
Good lord, can you IMAGINE?
Whatever it ends up being, it's Treasure so it'll definitely be awesome. Personally hoping for a new Sin & Punishment, Mischief Makers or Gunstar Heroes.
That being said, am I the only one really confused by that statement up there. Feels like engrish when I read it.
Treasure is my favorite developer. Can't wait to see what they are making!
They should make a fighting game with the fighting system they used for the Bleach anime DS games. Those games came out like 4 or 5 years ago, I've been playing them recently, and I STILL find new stuff to do. The combos you can make have infinite possibilities. Make it happen, Treasure!
I'm hoping its a mischief makers remake.
Treasure need to be given the Kid Icarus franchise just imagine Sin & punishment with PIT!
Whatever they're making, I'm in!
Can you imagine a sprite-based game using the 3DS power from Treasure?? Damn.
Gunstar Heroes 3D. Alien Soldier 2. Sin and PUnishment 3D.
Or heck, a new IP. Whatever Treasure does will blow my mind.
i'm also hoping for a sin and punishment 3d. Although maybe it's just me maybe it's just all this hours days spend on pointer game like sp2 , trauma team , cubello and the fps but i do think that the wiimote ir pointer is the best pointer . Maybe not the fastest , precise or the more stable but i do prefer it over the mouse , touchscreen and gyro pointer. It just feels more natural . Still , it's a 3ds project and i still very like the 3d effect
Well whatever they do i think it's going to be great , i hope this will get release in europe even only on eshop .
And really i hope the xbla exclusivity is dead now and they will think of putting ikaruga on eshop , i guess the glassesless 3d would be my choice
No. I can't.
Because that involves talking to Square-Enix on the rights.
Treasure could make anything and I'd be on board. Treasure and WayForward are two of my absolute favorite companies. Come on, Treasure! Make Gunstar Heroes 3! That would be absolutely amazing. A lengthy 2D sidescroller action game would fill the Mega Man shaped hole in my heart. But whatever you do, it's a day one buy for me!
Me wanty Wario World 2.
Sega owns Gunstar Heroes.
... it could still maybe happen...
Hey, maybe Sega could make a badass next-gen 3D Gunstar Heroes for consoles. That would blow my mind. It's not Treasure's style but maybe Sega could handle it.
And yet the GBA got Gunstar Super Heroes...
We shall see what they produce, I'll look forward to it.
Sin & Punishment is lame, there are no Power-Ups or something cool with the Weapons.
I would be pleased with an all NEW Gunstar Heroes 3DS with 2P-Coop even over Nintendo Network. Great action, great power-ups, great bosses, awesome animations and explosions, with lots of 3D-FX - BUT 2D-Gameplay!

Did you miss the memo about Sega going 3rd party 12 years back, friend? Yeah, it went to GBA and yeah THQ published it (like a few Sonic titles and Advance Guardian Heroes) but you'll also notice SEGA's big fat logo is one of the first things you see before getting to the title screen.
The fact remains is that like Pulseman with GameFreak, SEGA still controls the rights to Gunstar Heroes. Treasure can't make another one without SEGA's permission to do so. It's called "Work for Hire"
It still doesn't matter... When does Treasure ever self-publish? VERY rarely.
There was Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. Only the arcade versions though.
Exactly. All of Square's "properties" are split between many publishers. They do own a few of their own properties (Bangai-O, RS, Ikaruga) but Sega owns quite a few and even Nintendo technically owns Sin and Punishment and all associated characters.
You mean Treasure right?
