Remember how Nintendo recently yanked the Donkey Kong Country series of SNES games? Well now they've pulled Freakyforms from the NA eShop. Your only option for purchase now is Freakyforms Deluxe. They yanked it the day Deluxe came out. They did the same thing with other regions so it should've been expected.
At least, the reasoning behind it is known unlike with DKC. I wouldn't fault them as hard for taking this one down.

I understand completely with Freakyforms. There's an updated version with more stuff, why would you want to download the first one that has less content?
The Donkey Kong Country games? Well, Nintendo - you need an explanation for that. There could be problems between them and Rare for all we know.

Nothing of value was lost, but.. that is pretty shady.
Though I'll never understand why Pushmo & Freakyforms have sequels so soon..
I'm beginning to suspect a DKC 1-3 (HD) remake is in the works. Basically, Nintendo may be in the act of "remaking" their old games into HD, like every other company did 3-6 years ago! XD
At least Nintendo is catching up to 2006. It's kinda cute, actually. Maybe next they'll learn about broadband internet.
Yeah, sometimes it takes companies years to copy something, like it took Sony 7 years to copy DS touch controls to the Vita, or Microsoft and Sony years to copy motion gaming etc.
