Hmmm...what's that Yoshi game all about? First we've heard of this one. Who knows if it's just a placeholder for no reason or an actual game. The same goes for that Metal Gear Solid listing. I bet we'll find out at E3!
KingBroly wrote:I'm more curious about Metal Gear Solid being listed there. We've heard no indication anything MGS related is coming to Wii U. The same goes for Resident Evil.
I'm not sure about Metal Gear Solid icon (I didn't see a game linked there), but it could possibly be related to Smash Bros. As for Resident Evil, we were eventually going to get a Resident Evil game on the WiiU. Resident Evil has appeared on every home console since the 5th generation of gaming. The question is will it be Resident Evil 4, 5, 6, a new Resident Evil game, a combination of those games, or all of those games=???

A new Yoshi's Island would be great, but let's hope if it is in the pipe it's not a project by one of Nintendo's top houses. Good Feel could do great work with Yoshi's Island, they did great with Wario. Retro did a really great job with Donkey Kong, but they need to be working on something bigger then Yoshi's Island for the "hardcore" audience.
No. Someone VERY skilled needs to handle Yoshi's Island. Otherwise we'll end up with another Yoshi's Island DS, and nobody wants that.
LOL, Retro Studios might be Nintendo's most skilled developer (outside of the team who made the 2 Super Mario Galaxy games, and even they made that wonky Sunshine game). They did a great job on DKC Returns.

It'd most likely be a late port of Metal Gear Rising because of the Platinum Games connection. Plus, since it's Konami, it'd fit right in with 3rd parties attitude towards development on Nintendo platforms.
And here I thought Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt would be enough for people to realize this clearly is some sort of test content. Come on guys, "resident evils"?

I would be more than happy to get another Platinum game

All we have to do now is pray my friend...
Although I was waiting for MGS GZ to be released for the WII U , cause Kojima hasn't officially announced the PC version and (IMPORTANT) mainly because the fox engine was build so they can port games in different platforms easily!

Note that it says ''metal gear solid'' and not rising. If this isn't a new MGS it must be MGS Twin Snakes for the gamecube and will be available as a virtual console title.

Before it was "Metal Gear Rising: Revengance" it was called "Metal Gear SOLID: Rising."

To be honest, my only gripe was music. Other than that I thought it was kind of nostalgic fun-no where near the SNES classic but still not horrific as some like to think.
ITT: People hip-hip hooraying over nothing. Don't you remember the placeholder icons for Miiverse in the Nintendo Direct videos? ...Yeah.
Hence the game called "Zombie". This goes right along with the gun icon in those videos/the crude game shown with Non-specific action figure that was not ZombiU, as does the DKC logo, as does Yoshi, as does the Metroid as does "Super Mario" (not New Super Mario Bros. U). All of it falls in line. I get Resident Evil and MGS hyping people up, but they were probably things they just tested as placeholder icons/forums. Examples, if you will, of how Miiverse would work. None of this is coming, probably even DQX won't come stateside.
Either that I really can't wait for Zombie to come out.
Wait. The Iwata bananas... Bill Trinen's Orange... Nintendo and fruit... Is this all part of Nintendo's most elaborate teaser for a new game starring Yoshi?!?!?! ... We must wait on whatever fruit Reggie readies in another Nintendo direct...
it's telling that even in their (mine too) wildest dreams they don't expect final fantasy regular . Now if that list was any indication of future properties , i would bet that both metal gear and resident evils would not be about the mainline games .
Of course. Nintendo knows that and will not forget. Like it did not forget Kid Icarus, sooner or later, it uses its greatest games for new experiences.
I was reading that GAF thread as it happened. People pointed out that the 'gun' obviously represented one of those icons from the E3 screens.
However, the gun could really only represent one game, would it not? So, MGS or Resident Evil?
I think the most damning evidence that this is legitimate (or at least topples the E3 screens argument) is that there was no icon for Soul Hackers, which is listed on the Miiverse Debug.
For what it's worth, a rumor about a Good-Feel developed Yoshi sidescrolling game came about a year ago, in tandem with a number of rumors that ended up being true, like the new Etrian Oddysey and the 3DS XL.

Hells yeah Dragon Quest X!!!
OMG I'm so excited for this! I really hope Yoshi's Island gets the RETURNS treatment!
And hopefully it's not as big of a disappointing as Yoshi's Island DS was to me...
Cool. Hope it turns out to be something good.
Those listings might be no longer there after an "update"

Glad i'm not the only one who wanted to point out DQX. The next few months will be interesting indeed.
@nGen You won't be getting any MGS on the Wii U. Bet on it.
I will cry tears of joy if it's real and a 2D platformer in the vein of Yoshi's Island.
Anyone else think a Yoshi title with high res artwork in a style similiar to Wario Land Shake Dimension would be amazing?
This
@Reynard
that sure would be amazing
but yeah, I think it just corresponds to all those stock icons they had back at e3
A new Yoshi's Island would be pretty cool, yeah.

Metal gear? DKC? Yoshi's Island?
We need some reveals now!!!
