You're going to see that figure change as soon as more 6-13 year olds get a chance to play the Wii U. Trust me. My kids LOVE playing games on my iPad, but it's been sitting there collecting dust ever since getting the Wii U.

3DS is so far away for both groups ... it's surprising.. maybe because of game releases lately. Things could change next year with Animal Crossing and others.

ipad as free games to download, just saying. if i was a kid i would pick a ipad over anything nintendo related, because its open up to a lot of free games to download. the only downside the platform has is the lack of buttons.
That just goes to show you how stupid children are today. There is a major difference in being frugal and getting garbage. Yeah you can get 40 free games over 1 $40, but that $40 game is worth way more in actual value...
Let's be honest, how many games in the istore can stand to as Zelda or Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed...

I don't think it shows kids are stupid. I think it shows they probably lack the maturity to appreciate quality. I certainly know I enjoyed some real garbage as a kid, and I bet you probably did too.

Right? I can see there being a family iPad or something, but one exclusively for a little kid, that's a lot of money for a Christmas present or something.
I know. Besides that, a console can do almost all of what an iPad can do, plus actually play more than just a few genres of game at a decent quality.

I want an iPod Touch and Wii U for Christmas. Between the two, I want the iPod Touch. It will get more usage.
