Have the game and must admit it's a bad port. It's not even that great of a game...... But I can't help but love it. Being a Disney fan the imagery alone makes it worth while for me. I couldn't recommend it to anyone really though. I don't expect people to look past the flaws like I do.
The freaking game runs at like half frame rate on Wii U. It's basically unplayable(if you have any sort of barometer for quality) I had to play it on Wii to enjoy it at all.
@Fuego6
Only on the Mean Streets (main hub, basically). Otherwise, it runs slightly below or runs perfectly. Actually, the farther I get in the game, the better it seems to run....
Throughout the video, it appears the 360 one has better control over contrast - the Wii U appeared to be lacking contrast. The blacks just weren't as black and it overall had a slight wash over it.
Sadly the Wii U version also had a poor framerate when looking towards the castle. One can only hope that the developers decide to tweak the engine a bit for new disks and through update for those buying.
After learning that Wii remote controls are only available for co-op, I'm honestly thinking I should just get the Wii version and play it upscalled on Wii U. Hate to say it, but the Wii U version seems to be one of the examples of a rushed port job. Remember Junction Point themselves said the Wii version was the lead version of the game, and I think Blitz had plenty of time to make the HD versions of the game for 360 and PS3, while I get the feeling Heavy Iron didn't get as much time to do that (the Wii U version was sorta confirmed almost out of nowhere in September during Nintendo's Wii U conference).
It's like I've said many times over though, launch titles are never the best indication of a system's power (especially in the case of ports most of the time, since devs might not be 100% in tune with porting all the code and such to the new hardware just yet). Compare a game like FEAR 1 to FEAR 2, or Quake 4 to Halo 3, and you'll see that it's usually only about a year or two later you really start to see how much better devs get with the hardware.

Neither were the PS360 versions, actually. It's just that they got a Wii U kit so late, they handed it to a third team that didn't have really anytime to adapt to the system.

Because the Wii U version is much slower, specially in the outer environments. Just re-watch in the final part of the video, it is much more fluid in the X360 version.
So in other words, much like de Blog 2, this is a game that should have stayed a Wii exclusive. It wasn't meant for the other consoles, and should have been the one last big "hurrah" for Wii. Instead, it's a multi-console game that doesn't belong on other consoles, including the rush-job Wii U port. I don't know. As soon as I found out that it was going to be on Wii U, I said I'd probably get it for that, but IF I get it, I might just get it for Wii after all. No big deal.
Once Wii U gets rid of that limited RGB (like the other systems did in an update) Wii U will KILL IT!

and reggies says all ports look better on wii u....lmfao
sure they do reggie
Great game (IMO) but the Wii U version is the last option you should consider, honestly.

He never said ALL ports. And he specifically mentioned COD:BO2 which indeed looks better on Wii U albeit the slight performance issue.
I remember reading somewhere that the dev team got a Wii U SDK very late, and had practically no time to port this game over.

I'd be more interested in the Wii version, with it's grainy graphics and all. Is this game as good as the flawed original?
I'll pick it up when it's on sale for 5 or 10 bucks in a few years. Wasn't too impressed with the original.

You know they developed this on Wii and ported it to everything from there and not 360, right?

neither versions are getting great reviews anyway
its funny to me how people are reacting to this as if wiiu was the only console to launch with not so great ports! XD
and after perusing wikipedia's big old list of console launch titles my question is "...so?"

Seriously guys. Get the Wii version.
It's definitely the best in my opinion. I also tried the Move version and god that was bad... like absolutely unplayable.

Time to suck it up guys.
Wii U is a weak console.

Yes, it's so weak, it can't handle a game whose lead platform was the Wii
I remember Warren saying there were no WiiU version in the works in June or a little earlier.. So, no surprise here.
