Get ready for even more classic Mario action on the 3DS Virtual Console! According to the scrolling eShop banner, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is set for a 3DS VC release on Dec. 27th! Thanks to KomicalTurtle for the heads up.
I just got it a year or so ago, and I haven't even tried to finish it really.. not sure I want it again really. But that's cool that you can get it now. I just wish we got it instead of one of the other unwanted Ambassador games..

I agree. I already bought this game on the VC. It is listed on my Club Nintendo account. There is no reason why I should have to purchase it again just to play the same digital file on Nintendo's other device.
When I purchase a PS1 game to play on my PS3 I can play the same purchase on my Vita as well.
Nintendo is going to run short of people willing to double-purchase games sooner rather than later. It leaves a bad taste with the consumer.
Slamacow! That's amazing! Can't wait

Not as a 3D Classics title though? Haven't seen one of them pop up in quite a while now.
The NES version (as opposed to the remake in Super Mario All-Stars)? Have we even seen that hit NA before?
It's on Wii VC. I think it is 100 points more than regular NES VC titles as it's a Japanese Import.

I agree, need to be able to allow people to use the same thing cross platform.
Microsoft (Game Studios) is also guilty of this (eg: Plants vs Zombies across WP7 and Arcade or Angry Birds on WP7 and Windows 8).
Let people purchase once for use across multiple platforms and you've got a winner. Love what Jet Pilot said about the PSN.
