I LOVE Pulseman. I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of 2D platformers. It's an entire game based around a few simple mechanics, with increasingly inventive and difficult ways to use said mechanics to overcome obstacles. As the article says, definitely deserves much more praise than it unfortunately has received due to it's import only status. Anyone looking for a solid platformer on VC should purchase this without hesitation.
I'm strangely conflicted because as much as I LOVE the Pokemon games, I also adore Pulseman and Drill Dozer, so it's a bit of a shame Game Freak don't get to work on their own titles more often. With talk that systems are in place for their developers to do just that, though, I'm looking forward to seeing what they have for us in the future, beyond the March release of Harmoknight.

YES. I agree with you completely. Pokemon is a great series, but I really do hope that someday the folks at Gamefreak won't be so restricted by it and have more opportunities to create more games in the same vein as their past platformers.
I remember playing this on the Genesis (using a subscription device called the Sega Channel). It was amazing and I wish Game Freak would make a remake or sequel already.
I've played this on an emulator several times and love it. I was initially interested in it because it was made by Game Freak and how it was one of those unknown gems. Once I fired it up, I was hooked. There should definitely be a revival unless "property politics" prevent it from ever getting a re-release or resurrection.
Wow, the Sega Channel...I forgot all about that thing! I loved that lol. But yeah, Pulseman is a game I've always wanted to play but just never have. He's the original Rotom lol. Oh and there is some Pokémon music in this game too. They just put the song over in Pokémon and changed it just a little bit.
