King of Pirates has a good chance of coming to the states. We know that trademarks were filed for Europe and North America. What we don't know is if the supporting content will also make the jump.
Just announced this weekend was an anime adaptation for King of Pirates. Looks like Inafune and his gang are looking to attack gamers from all angles to build up interest for this game. Certainly sounds like a smart way to do things. Let's hope it works out!

If this were the Bakumatsu Inafune would be like the idiots who overthrew the Shogunate NOT because of societal imbalance and whatnot...but because the West basically BULLIED the country into opening its doors. He'd be the sniveling little weasel selling out his own people.
