Wish he could have done that, I really enjoy Jaleel White as Sonic!
If they ever do a Sonic Generations 2 it'd be cool if they could get that to work!
Consistency has never been SEGA's thing, so it wouldn't be a big deal to me if Sonic was mute in one and then spoke in the next.
I just beat this game and i actually would have welcomed him playing past sonic, anything is better than mute pantomiming IMO.

I would've bought this game if he were in it! Another lost sale, Sega.

Not sure if that's a reputable source though and to be honest I don't care enough to continue digging.
If this is the case though, I wish Did You Know Gaming did more fact checking, cause this wouldn't be the first time they've been wrong on something. I absolutely love the site and their videos, but sometimes they need to do a little extra work before posting their "facts'! It goes from "Did You Know Gaming" to "Rumor Has it".

I swear this info is a bad rumor that circulated.
I think a SEGA administrator said if they would get a Sonic voice, they would get Urkel. Not that they did.
