This is very good news indeed. In the 19 executive actions that Vice President Joe Biden put together for President Obama concerning gun violence, not once are video games mentioned. Looks like the administration might actually have a good idea of how video games work!

Other than possibly having the ESRB look at the level of violence in games a bit more when doing ratings, there was nothing that could be recommended. That same recommendation should have been given to the MPAA for movie ratings and the FCC (government agency) for television show content ratings -- had they been given to video games.

There's no reason to be disrespectful. You should be satisfied that the current administration isn't trying to use video games as a scapegoat like so many others are trying to do.
It's hard to be 'satisfied' with something so petty while our rights are being attacked and we're drone bombing countless innocent civilians.

It's strange that you'd jump him for being respectful, but also stoop enough in the same direction to make fun of his username.
And lets not forget a lot of those drones are being controlled by 360 controllers (or were recently) with operators trained in and recruited from online war games like COD, Battlefield & Americas Army 2. Of course they don't want to go after game violence, their military benefits from it.

Anyone who thought this was going to turn out differently were just being conspiracy theory looney tunes (and that's honestly an insult to looney tunes). Talking to the ESA was a formality, and quite frankly, ultra-violent games, ESPECIALLY in the hands of kids by parents who just don't care, ARE a problem. But this was never going to be a "witch hunt" against gaming like back in the 90s vs. Mortal Kombat. This is about military grade guns, and the fact that NO ONE needs to own them.
