Coming from Nintendo's financial statement...
"Beginning in March and continuing through the rest of the calendar year and into 2014, Nintendo will release a cavalcade of strong, fan-favorite software titles for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. New entries in the Mario Kart, Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, LEGO City, Wii Fit and Pikmin franchises will help Nintendo regain momentum for Wii U. Additionally, highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS games such as Luigi's Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf have the potential to be hardware drivers and bring new audiences to the platform."
The only problem with this statement is, we have no idea just how far into 2014 Nintendo is talking about. We could see Mario Kart this holiday season, but maybe Mario's next outing won't hit until deep into 2014.

Star Fox and F-Zero confirmed for E3 2014.
...right?
They're strictly talking about games that will be releasing within the next twelves months or so, otherwise they would have listed Smash Bros and the new Wii U Zelda in that list.
E3 will be ridiculous, though. All of these heavy-hitters PLUS reveals of Smash Bros, Retro's game, and whatever they've got up their sleeves for 3DS's holiday lineup. I assume a Majora's Mask remake and perhaps a Kirby game.
Wait, Zelda for 2014? For 3DS I can believe it, but Wii U? Seems too soon after Skyward Sword.
They're probably considering Wind Waker HD to be "new". A little disappointing though, considering that most of this was aimed for 2013.
Wind waker HD for this year maybe. But not s new game unless its a 3ds one that's being made along side the Wii u one. Wonder what other franchises they will have.
At least New Leaf will be localized before 2015...
I'm starting to be more an more interested in Lego City. Was very skeptic at first though, but the iea, the concept, is growing on me more and more. Am pretty sure Mario Kart U would hit this year. And THAT will sell systems.
But E3 will be huge (also for MS an Sony of course
Am I the only one who thinks the 3DS needs to have more megaton games announced? Iwata did mention it in the Wii U Nintendo Direct, but we have yet to see a 3DS one.
I'm interested in seeing what they do for Mario Kart. Hopefully that comes sooner than later.
How is "Lego City" a fan-favorite Nintendo title? :/ I know they're publishing it but it's not a Nintendo title at all outside of that...
First of all, reread the article: "New entries in the Mario Kart, Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, LEGO City, Wii Fit and Pikmin franchises will help Nintendo regain momentum for Wii U." They did, in fact, mention the Wii U Zelda title.
Beside that, I don't think they would have to mention Super Smash Bros. I'd have a hard time believing we will see it before 2015.
It's fan favorite by the fact it's "Lego," thus it's bound to be a fan favorite "Lego Nintendo" game. That's what I'm getting from it at least...
Well I'm personally looking forward to seeing what all they have up their sleeves.
