Again, we have another rumor from Emily Rogers. This one pertains to something that we've all been wondering about. Just what is Retro up to? It's been awhile since we heard anything about what they're working on. According to Emily, we'll finally get to see what the company has been toiling away on at E3. Not only that, but their project will be revealed in playable form.

This seems out of nowhere, not that I would object particularly.
I have a good feeling about this one
Sounds believable. If I remember correctly, they were going to show the game last year but changed their minds at the last minute (hence Nintendo stretching the Nintendo Land presentation), so it would make sense that this year they would have enough finished for a demo of some sort.
Sometimes I wonder where she get's her info from..but yayy if it's true! Star fox, 2D Metroid, or a 3D Donkey Kong game please!
Sorry, but this is precisely what I'm talking about when I say so many of her rumours are just educated guesses. If you've spent any time on NeoGaf (I gather Emily has) you may well have heard a rumour that Retro's project was pulled from last year's E3 at the last minute, couple that with the fact that their last game came out 2 1/2 years ago now and you've got to think they'll have something to show this year, probably in playable form.
Bless my cotton socks. The moment I know the exact date for E3, I'm requesting it off. I think we're in for one wild ride. I've got Jack and Coke on hand.
That joining 3D Mario and Mario Kart U as playable at E3 would blow my mind...!
Though only Kart will be out this year [which I'm in two minds about], of course.
Nintendo did say that there is another unannounced game coming out at the end of the year.
They're an asset monkey for Mario Kart 8/U.
It doesn't seem impossible. I'm pretty sure it'll be at E3, even if it's not playable anyway.
Yeah! There was that talk about Retro not showing their game at E3 last year which would automatically mean "very possible at this E3"... VERY!!!! This was pretty much a given. A reveal is a no brainer at least.
This might be the project that makes me most curious since we have no idea what it is. And after reading way too much about the WiiU GPU and knowing how Retro can do some magic with some lower specs (So far all their games I have played) PLUS they know how to make good games also... Oh man! Now ad the next rumour about Retro working on an engine that shuld be pretty good too for other devs to play with.

So far what they do at GAF!
Now what else should be shown at E3 this year in playable format? Well Bayonetta 2 of course

Yeah! Rumors are fun!
And darn... Just lost my fav survivor in ZombiU. Lost so much stuff.... GAH!
You are right, it makes sense. But she has said it ... while no one else from NeoGAF or elsewhere appears to have put this out there for public consumption. Also, it would not be surprising if Nintendo had something that was almost ready to go, pulled it from e3, then killed it completed. Finally, there is a lot of chafe that has to be separated from the wheat on NeoGAF. Sometimes it seems like those who know don't say and those who don't know say it (on NeoGAF and other boards).
PS -- It we only had people making educated guesses, then why do we have such wild information from analysts?
Who hasn't said this already? Rich at IGN said this, months ago on a NVC podcast. How freaking gulable can you people get for this girl? This is no more than a educated guess. Hmmm let's see Retro's last game came out in 2011, which will be two full years, if their next game comes out this holiday season. Two years is also typical dev cycle, so just put 2 and 2 together. Of course it will have to be playable at this year's E3.
If it wasn't, than I'd be worried, because Retro's last full project came out in 2010. They should have something to show by now. I can see why she is throwing out these softball E3 predictions so early, after her horribly wrong E3 prediction blew up in her face in 2011. I guess I got my predictions right already, because I always jokingly say that I predict Nintendo will show off a new Mario game, and Mario Kart at the next E3. Well dah that's not a prediction. Its just a educated easy guess, that happened to come true this year. These things are expected. Tell us exactly what the game is, and get it right for once, then I'll be impressed.
THIS!
Let it be a challenge!
I am not saying she might know some things we don't. But this one was a bit too easy to "predict". This is more like a "DUH!" moment.
This will be my first E3, and it looks like it will be the biggest ever. I'm soo looking forward to it *_*
This guy knows how to do it. I'm all in! Sounds like a day devoted to celebration!
Seems likely enough, right? I mean, when DKCR was unveiled it was also playable.
I predicated this a year ago after it wasn't shown at last year's E3. Easy prediction is easy.
So we agree that this was an easy guess. We'll see at E3.
Now the more exciting part is WHAT is it?
What if Retro'a new game was the new 3d Mario. Mind blown. Favorite developer plus great series of games = Dayum. But in all honesty there's not a single chance of that happening. But actually that makes me wonder if their game is one we already know about..
