Ubisoft says Assassin's Creed IV worthy of the next numbered entry title

"It's a pirate setting, we have a very different hero with a completely different personality to Connor. He's a brash, boisterous, hard-drinking pirate. The whole feeling of the game is completely fresh and new. It will feel very different to Assassin's Creed 3. I think it completely warrants the Assassin's Creed 4 moniker, not only with the new name and setting, but the attitude and the tone of the experience." - lead content manager Carsten Myhill

The ideas at play in this game certainly do seem more akin to something you'd find in a spin-off. Ubisoft still has plenty of time to show everyone why this deserves the 'IV' label.
