- 3DS version to follow at a later date
- will provide basic Miiverse functionality at first
- this includes posting comments, drawing doodles, and viewing and engaging with communities

- Nintendo is currently taking requests from game developers for what they would like to see in the update Miiverse API

I'd rather access Miiverse from my Wii U/3DS.

3DS have such a weak hardware that it just cant run MiiVerse on it?

Why is it always on the hardware. Maybe they're simply taking things one step at a time, and will release Miiverse on 3DS at E3...

But I want 3DS Miiverse now...

Can't take the Wii U everywhere/not everyone carries their 3DS on them all the time.

@Olinad I think it's gonna be an E3 Conference 'It's live NOW!' thing too.

Miiverse has to be place for Pokemon XY anyway.

They could probably put it out as fast as the browser/phone one, but I'll bet you that the one they are making will have numerous more features than the browser/phone Miiverse. (Which obviously won't have screenshot posting.) Maybe even some features not on the existing Wii U Miiverse.

One question, what about those who don't have a Wii U (and thus, not having access to Miiverse) but have a 3DS/smartphone/PC, can they still at least read comments, etc.?

Will the 3DS have its own Miiverse though? Or is it just that you can access the Wii U Miiverse with your Wii U NNID?

Because I was really hoping to be able to use the Miiverse without having a Wii U yet on the 3DS. How's this going to work?

I don't know how others feel, but i hope the only way you can post on the Miiverse is with a NNID created through the WiiU or 3DS. I don't want random people to be able to sign up on Nintendo.com and ruin the community. You know it won't take long for the trolls to start posting garbage on there once they find out they don't need to buy a WiiU or 3DS.

The only thing that could save it, is that you can make it so it only shows posts from people who actually played the game. But that doesn't work for the general communities like Luigi and Zelda.

Do you need to have a Wii U to access the upcoming Miiverse on PC and mobile devices?

Wait, so there will be existing software that will be updated to support Miiverse on the 3DS? And there will be full integration in games, like in NSMBU?

Woah woah woah.

3DS is getting MiiVerse? Goddamn MEGATON right there.

That would be HELLA useful for Monster Hunter on 3DS.

What? Miiverse is basically a web page. 3DS has as many chances to run it as my old Nokia 5530.

Considering Miiverse was already confirmed to be coming to 3DS, I would like to know where you got your degree in tech prowess.

I'm glad they're extending support but I'd much prefer it on 3DS.

Pretty excited for it to come to both mobile/browsers and the 3DS. While I'm probably slighty more excited to see it on 3DS, I don't always have my XL on me...but I do always have my phone. So I welcome MiiVerse on all my devices.

@gojiguy
It was announced a long time ago, so it's not really a megaton for most, but I'm glad it is for you today! Ha ha

@Shonen

Uh... Yeah.... Must not be coming to the 3DS because of weak hardware...

You can probably just use the 3DS browser to access MiiVerse anyways. Maybe I'll start using it more when I have more options to access it.

i'd rather they keep the requirement of actually having the hardware to post , even now i had to block several trolls . They do seem to not come back as often .

I hope the Miiverse admins enjoy banning, because they'll be doing that a LOT more once this goes live.

But, I'll still enjoy having the ability to visit Miiverse through my computer. :)

@internet
@LSF22

Agreed. I don't think non-Wii U or 3DS owners should really be a part of it since it doesn't even make sense.

All I want is confirmation that we'll be able to make an NNID on the 3DS so we can post on the 3DS Miiverse without needing a Wii U, because then the whole thing is useless to me since I don't have a Wii U yet.

Since it says some 3DS games won't be compatible, I am assuming that my hopes are correct, but they're being so hush hush about the whole thing, and I could see them doing something stupid like that.
