GN Version 3.1

Earlier today, we talked about the BBC iPlayer Channel that is hitting the Wii in the UK. The BBC has commented on that player, and it looks like Nintendo played a big part in making it happen.

We have just announced the release of a new version of BBC iPlayer for Nintendo Wii. The new version is a Flash based application using the newly released Video on Demand Framework (VODF) from Nintendo.

A flash-based application for video-on-demand. Surely Nintendo hasn’t created this framework just for use in this iPlayer channel. We’ll have to keep an eye out for other VoD services in the works for Wii.
