Music Games Losing the Rhythm?

I think we’re starting to see just how fed up with music games most gamers are. Once a genre that used to be for niche players, now music gaming is so big that everyone has become sick of it. I long for the days when Guitar Hero wasn’t even around, and we were playing more games like Rez or Parappa the Rapper. Will those days ever come back? This overabundance of Rock Band/Guitar Hero releases and clones could certainly push the industry in that direction.
