This is one of the best Nintendo-related animations I’ve ever seen. I’m not just saying that because we feature Cory’s work on GoNintendo. I truly mean that, as Cory has gone above and beyond on this one. Watch this sucker a million times over…plus one. See you all in a few, short hours.
I warned you this was coming last week. We’ve actually come to the end of Vol. 1 of Cory Godbey’s ‘bit and run’ series. To say that I’m honored to have such a skilled artist/humorist as a part of the site would be a gross understatement. Rather than fumble around for the right words to end Volume 1, I’ll let Cory gracefully take us out.
Hey everyone, once again I want to take a moment and thank you all. I’ve said it many times before but I’ll say it again, it’s truly been a pleasure for me to do these comics. I’m especially gleeful for this one, the final installment of Volume One, because in a way it’s a small fulfillment of one of those childhood wishes — I used to draw out Mario levels and characters on graph paper. I’d move them around and make the little paper Mario jump on the paper Goombas and think, “Man, I wish I could record this.” Fast forward some 20 years later and I’ve finally gotten around to doing something like it. Here’s to the 6 year old in your past who always liked to draw cartoons.
“bit and run” will return on Friday, August 6th with Volume Two.
