MercurySteam dev interested in doing 3D Contra title
“I’ve made no secret I’d love to do Contra. Castlevania and Contra are the reasons I got into the game business. So I would love to do Contra next. Getting a project off the ground is not easy, especially within Konami. For whatever reason it’s about trust, it’s about respect. We had to get our foot in the door and we’ve done it with this game. Who knows? It’s not easy. If the opportunity came up to do Contra I would jump at the chance. Maybe I already have (tried) several times. Perhaps it’ll be easier now. Who knows? Looks like the MercurySteam devs want to give Contra a 3D revamp. That’s another series that hasn’t really seen a great 3D entry. Looks like Cox has his sights set!
