GN Version 3.1

A portion of a TVG interview with President of 2K Czech, Stephane Dupas…

TVG: What have you done to make Top Spin 4 more accessible?

SD: I think the first thing is the in-game helper. So, to try to give real-time feedback to the user - what went right and what went wrong. The second thing is Top Spin Academy, designed in a different way; trying to be focussed on the questions that people really have, in the real world - not game designer problems, real people problems - and answer them the best we can. And the third thing is… I think with the control and power shot, we have a much better combination than what we had with the risk shot and a lot of shoulder button use, so that’s the third thing. And the fourth thing is character building.

We are trying to guide people throughout the game a bit better. The systems - from Top Spin 3 to Top Spin 4 - they are not so different actually; we did a few improvements here and there, but what we really improved is the explanation, the in-game guidance.
