Music games are dead, long live music games

You know when I stopped digging music games? I stopped when they started being all about the peripherals instead of the music. I like Guitar Hero and Rock Band as much as the next guy, but this was a new type of music game. I longed for the music games that I really found new, fresh, innovative and exciting. Where are my Elite Beat Agents? How about my Gitaroo Man? Is it time for some more Parappa the Rapper?
