Analyst gives rough estimates for Nintendo profits on Wii (per region)
We know that Nintendo is making money off of every Wii sold, but did you stop and think about just how much money they make? The official amounts may never be known, but Nikko Citigroups’ Soichiro Fukuda has crunched some numbers to come up with some estimates.
Japan - $13 profit on each console sold
US - $49 profit on each console sold
Europe - $74 profit on each console sold
Wow, that is a ridiculous amount of money being made in Europe. Now I wish I could see the comparisons for Microsoft and Sony’s platforms.
