Wii dominates Japanese mindset after E3, Europeans excited too

Famitsu asked Japanese gamers a few questions regarding the next gen games/consoles they were looking forward to after E3. Take a look at the results below.

Wii - 68.8%
PS3 - 21.0%
Xbox 360 - 7.2%
NDS - 3.0%

What do you think of the pricing for the PS3?

88.4% - I think the price is too high.
10.9% - The price is appropriate.
0.7% - The console is inexpensive.

Europeans were included in a poll via EDGE magazine asking which console they were most interested in. The results are as follows…

1. PlayStation3: 578 Votes
2. Nintendo Wii: 532 Votes
3. Xbox 360: 219 Votes

Looks like the Japanese were just as impressed with Nintendo’s showing at E3 as we were! The Europeans also show a very strong affinity towards Nintendo’s new system, just barely being beaten out by the PS3.
