A portion of a Nintendo Players interview with John Greiner, CEO of Hudson Entertainment…

NP: Well, while we’re discussing distribution, I’d like to move on to Nintendo’s Virtual Console. How has the sales of TurboGrafx games on the Wii Virtual Console been for Hudson?

John: Excellent, we have had a very good response from the fans. We’ve been trying to secure the rights to games whose developers no longer exist to get more titles on the Virtual Console, and we’ve been consistently adding Turbografx titles to the Virtual Console almost weekly. Our goal is to get over 2/3rds of the entire Turbografx library. We also intend to bring over TurboCD and SuperCD games on the Virtual Console.

NP: When we interviewed John Lee back in April, we got him to promise that if we could get 25 people to buy Bonk’s Adventure Hudson would at least consider making a sequel. I think we’ve probably gotten at least 25 people to download it by now. Any chance we could hold you to that?

John: We’ve had a lot of fan requests for Bonk, and it has been the second-best selling TurboGrafx title. It’s not unlikely.

It’s definitely time for a new Bonk…as long as it is 2d. WiiWare is the perfect place for this! Full interview here.
