Nintendo at Comic Con

Did I ever mention that GoNintendo has the best readers of any website on the entire internet? At least I think so! I’m sure I will be saying that many many more times in the future, and will be happy to do so.

Two of our readers (Headgorilla and Al) were on hand for the preview night of Comic Con 2006, and then both managed to snag some pics of Nintendo’s booth at the show. Rather then reword their Headgorilla’s, I will post it below. He took the time to write it, why shouldn’t it be posted?!

Headgorilla says…

For Nintendo’s booth I was very sad to see…no Wii. I heard at least 3 people ask if the Wii would be there. That’s okay there was tons upon tons of DS stuff there.

There was tons of games there to try. Including Final Fantasy III. The strange thing is I watched a video on the monitors entitled Final Fantasy. There was no numerical value to the logo and the game play seemed quite different than Final Fantasy III. Confused I was from this video in my mind it seemed more as a Crystal Chronicle game. Not 100% sure. I’m going to attempt to get some shots of the video tomorrow.

Konomi is also at the Con and displaying 3 DS games. Lunar Knights, Frogger and Castlevania.

The only other thing worth of Nintendo News is Capcom had Pheonix Wright with the Free Phoenix Wright Stylus with Purchase thing going on. The game is retailed at the Comic Con for $30.

As for the other Nintendo sadness was THQ was there with Sponge Bob and the Last Avatar. I got really excited only to find no Wii. They were playing on Gamecube.

I am not going to post what Al had to say, simply because he had some pretty cool ideas for the site, and I don’t want to ruin them! He also has posted some pictures on his personal site, which should be up and running sometime tomorrow. You can click HERE to check them out.
