This article confuses the hell out of me. I can’t even begin to figure out what The Age is trying to say here. Basically they are saying that it would be great for Nintendo to succeed, but not to become the number one selling console. If Nintendo’s Wii does take the number one spot, major third party titles would disappear forever (GTA, MGS. PoP, NfS, ect…) because of Nintendo’s approach towards third parties, and the competition between Nintendo software versus third party. Here I thought Nintendo was jumping out the gate to show how they are trying to change their third party relationships, but the likes of THQ, Ubisoft, and EA giving massive support isn’t enough to convince The Age. How do you guys feel about Nintendo’s Wii taking the number one spot in console sales? Would it be doom and gloom for third parties, or the complete opposite.
