RUMOR - Sonic animated film in the works

Someone has been in touch with me over the past week or so, and has provided me with a plethora of information concerning an animated Sonic the Hedgehog film. This would indeed be a theatrical release. I will not be giving a majority of the details out, as to protect teh tipster. What I will say is that Sega of America was on-board for the idea, as were a well-known movie studio, and another well-known children’s programming licensor. The block came in from Sega’s Japanese branch, who was already talking with another third party about putting the film together.

The tipster has no idea if the film will actually come to fruition, due to all the back and forth going on. Would you guys like to see a Sonic, full-length animated feature?
