Are Nintendo core gamers being snobby?

The lot of us are complaining about Nintendo’s E3 presence this week. Obviously, they had a lack of titles that would interest us. Everywhere you look, you see people complaining about how Nintendo has abandoned them. Are we simply being too snobby about the situation?

I have no problem at all with Nintendo going after a wider userbase. My only issue comes from when Nintendo says they are supporting all of us. Miyamoto just said that they don’t see E3 as the place to address the core audience anymore. With a statement like that, I can see why we are all angry. So now, we just have to wait until Nintendo believes it is the right time/place to talk to us. We know they have titles in the works that will make us happy, but why must we wait to see them?
