A few more Sonic and the Secret Rings info tidbits

GN 1.0 / 2.0

While this is a slight rehash of some info from the 1up interview we posted, there are a couple new bits of info. Grabbed from a post over at NeoGAF.

-70 missions
-Approximatively 10 hours to finish all the missions, and obviously more to obtain all the medals, hidden items, and other bonuses.
-No other playable characters. Only Sonic.
-They shifted from an extremely active gameplay scheme to an oversimplified one because they found the original too tiring. Also according to him, deep gameplays and big adventures don’t suit the Wii philosophy.
-Over 30 mini-games, playable up to four players.
-Possibility to have online downloadable content.

That deep gameplay and big adventures comment really bugs me. Was Sonic ever a deep experience to begin with? I would argue that Red Steel, Zelda TP (even though it was supposed to be Cube only), and Super Mario Galaxy are just a small example of software that offer deep gameplay.
