If Away: Shuffle Dungeon was delayed in North America, how did I purchase a North American copy?

Recently, I was sad to report that Away: Shuffle Dungeon had been delayed in North America. The news was reported by IGN, and they got their info from Majesco.

We here at IGN are highly anticipating Away: Shuffle Dungeon, the quirky action RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. It was set to be released next week but we just got word from publisher Majesco that it has been delayed until November or possibly December.

I guess that statement is untrue. I got a call today from my local EB employee telling me that the game was in. I was pretty surprised to hear him say that, and I almost didn’t believe it! Nintenho was already out at the mall, so I asked her to go in and pick up my copy. Sure enough, when she got home, she dropped this off.

Something doesn’t make any sense here. If the game was delayed, then how did it ship to GameStop…the week it was originally due to come out!?
