Belgium says bye-bye to game rentals
How often do you rent games? Do you head down to your local Blockbuster and grab some titles for the weekend? Perhaps you order up some rentals from GameFly, and have them shipped right to your house. Well, be thankful that you can do that. On December 1st, 2008, the residents of Belgium will no longer be allowed to.
It looks like renting games was always illegal in Belgium, but it was tolerated. Once the first of December hits, the law is being taken seriously. I am sure this has game publishers cracking a smile, but I can’t see gamers being very happy about it.
