Mii Mingle Mode?

This screen grab is taken from the NoA Wii event courtesy of Kotaku, which we posted on that same day. While at the event, I never noticed this little aspect of the Mii demonstration. I must have been too busy blogging! Lucky for me, reader Carter got into a messageboard discussion where someone noticed this.

While we know about the ability to take your Mii to a friend’s house via Wiimote, this Mii Mingle mode seems a tad different. Mii Mingle is never explained during the demonstration. Is this the name of the mode used to transfer your Mii to your Wiimote, or is this something else?
