I often feel that music is never given enough praise in the video game world. The aural experience in a game is just as importantly as the gameplay. If the music/sound effects are bad, it can completely ruin the experience. If the music/sound effects are amazing, it can pull you into the game that much deeper.
Ubisoft has announced that Tom Salta will be helming the audio experience in Red Steel. Mr. Salta is an award winning composer who has worked on other video games such as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Cold Fear, and Need for Speed: Underground 2.
“Tom Salta has found the perfect balance between Japanese traditional music, classic Hollywood score and various modern styles. He has composed the most exciting soundtrack I’ve ever worked on at Ubisoft.” - Manu Bachet, Music Supervisor for Red Steel
The music that I have heard in the demo versions of the game have been extremely impressive. I am looking foward to hearing Mr. Saltas complete work once Red Steel arrives.
You can read all about the music of Red Steel, as well as download 3 tracks at Tom Salta’s official website

Thanks to Greg for the heads up.
