Japan - latest DSi firmware update doesn't block flash carts
In Japan, Nintendo has released a mandatory update for the DSi. If you want to play any DSiWare titles, you need to get this firmware update. Many homebrewers were worried that the latest update would block out flash carts, and leave no options for homebrew games and apps.
Well…the firmware upgrade is out, and it doesn’t hinder flash carts at all. Homebrew users are free to continue enjoying that side of the DSi. Of course, that means that pirates are still safe as well.
