Staff member Lube has taken some time out of his day to discuss the topic of Smash Bros. Revolution. We know it is in the works, and we know we want it, but what are we to do until it comes out? Well we can speculate of course, and that is just what Lube does. Check out a few of his thoughts in his article below.

Get Ready to Smash

As many of you should already know, there is a Super Smash Brothers 3 in the works for the Nintendo Revolution with the working title of Super Smash Brothers Revolution. Unfortunately for us, true facts about the game are few and there is not much of anything we actually know about the game itself. What we do know for certain is that SSB3 will utilize the wifi connection making it playable online. In addition, although not confirmed yet, we do know that Nintendo is pushing SSB3 to be a launch title for the Revolution. Now we know that games are not always completed on time and can get pushed back, but this does not seem like the case for SSB3 thanks to the opening of a new office in Tokyo dedicated completely to SSB3 for the Revolution as well as the hiring of Masahiro Sakurai, the series original creator to work on this one. Any other news you may have heard about the game is truly rumor and speculation. Although I can not help but salivate at the mere thought of SSB3, I am not immune from offering some of my own speculations and opinions for the game. First, SSB3 on the wifi will be awesome, end of story. Second, I am looking forward to all the old characters and levels returning and new ones to be added. What new ones am I thinking of, you may wonder? Well, from the Pokemon universe there could be Ash as a playable character or a member of Team Rocket. With the popularity of Animal Crossing I could expect Tom Nook as a playable character thrown into the mix. Toad, Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, and Diddy Kong could all become characters as well, although some might seem too similar to their counterparts (Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Donkey Kong) and may just seem like clones (although Pichu and Pikachu worked out well for SSBM). Some unique characters I would also welcome would be Birdo from SMB2 and Mike from Star Tropics.

52As far as levels go there is no shortage of ideas from me but I would love to battle it out in Luigi's Mansion or possibly have some sort of underwater level. Another idea I have for weapons would be a breaking bottle that has a metroid come out to wreak some havoc. New mini games are a must and should be tons of fun using the new controller. In fact the game itself will be amazing using the new controller. I can see it now, punching and hitting the people next to me so my character does it on the screen, muhahahaha.

Ahhh Smash Brothers Revolution, what a great game it's going to be. I can only hope more information comes soon to quench our thirst for it. Well, November's only ten months away.
