To balance out the new challenges, FFVA features four new Jobs. The Gladiator can perform instant-kill critical hits; the Prophet can “predict” disasters; the Cannoneer fires canons which deal area damage and effects; and the Necromancer can cast darker-than-Black magic, but becomes undead as well.
In other words, it’s a sterling remake of a classic game, loaded with tons of fanservice. The story and graphics won’t impress the kids, but the gameplay should make this a must-have for FF fanatics when it arrives in America next month.
