I don’t want to take up too much space with my ramblings. I am off to bed for the night, my friends. I’ll see you in a few, short hours!

I told you we had something good for the ‘End of day’ thoughts, and I hope you think that we’ve delivered. I certainly think this is a pretty good ‘get’!

Many of you know that I’m pretty friendly with Tyrone Rodriguez, the big man over at Nicalis. His company is the one responsible for (eventually) bringing Cave Story to WiiWare. As of Thursday morning, we had confirmation of another title coming from Nicalis…’Night Game’ for WiiWare. We’ve been speculating about ‘Night Game’ for a month or so now, which made it all the better to see it confirmed for WiiWare.

Mr. Rodriguez was nice enough to send us this exclusive trailer for ‘Night Game’, and I couldn’t be happier to share it with you guys. I really hope you enjoy this first look at the game. The music/atmosphere alone is enough to get my interest! If you missed out on the original announcement, I’ve included the short blurb that was within Nintendo’s press release from yesterday.

Night Game, developed and published by Nicalis: Exclusively for WiiWare, Night Game (working title) is part action game and part puzzler. It invites players into a beautifully atmospheric world, where they must use real physics to maneuver a mysterious, glowing sphere through vastly different locales. Night Game pushes the boundaries of design with its unique art style, and professionally produced music score. This title is a 2009 Independent Games Festival Seumas McNally Award nominee and from the same developers responsible for Cave Story on Wii.

Before you get to watching, I’d like to give two big thank-yous. First off, thanks to Mr. Rodriguez for sharing this trailer with us. It’s an honor to be the first ones to show off this upcoming WiiWare game. Second, I have to thank CortJezter in a big way. He is the one that managed to get the proprietary player (seen below) up and running. He also created that lovely title bumper image that sits in the embed before you click play. Obviously, none of this could have happened without either of these guys! My multiple hats are tipped in their general directions.

Now…enough yapping! Click the embed trailer below for your first look at ‘Night Game’.
