Once you try it, you’re hooked. You start hanging out with people who are also addicted. Your sole reason for existing is to get the next fix. You become alienated from your family and friends. Trying to cut back is nearly impossible. The only way to kick the habit is to go “cold turkey,” and the process is painful and ugly, especially for those close to you.
