Is Multiplayer a Must Have?
There are some types of games that should be given lower review scores if they don’t have multiplayer. For instance, Street Fighter titles should have local multiplayer and Unreal Tournament needs to have online play. Other than games specifically built on/around multiplayer, I don’t think the feature is necessary. It’s nice, but I don’t see it as a reason to score a gamer lower when multiplayer doesn’t exist.
