GoNintendo 'End of day' thoughts - Cort goes hands-on with ExciteBots videos

Man…what a ridiculous amount of time it took to catch the site up after my flight. Glad that this day is over, and that the weekend is just about here! I hope you enjoy the fun bits of GDC love that we have for you below. More to come in the not-too-distant future.

I just want to let everyone know this before you watch the videos below. We were told that you couldn’t film screens directly to get game footage. You had to have the player in the shot at all times, and you couldn’t get more than 5 minutes of footage. We worked within those guidelines while others didn’t. Don’t blame Cort for the hard-to-see footage…blame me! - RMC

Hey everyone… RMC and I got our mitts on Excitebots yesterday, and even captured a couple short videos from Nintendo’s booth on the GDC 2009 show floor.

It’s quite a bit of fun. I always liked ExciteTruck, but it also felt like it was missing something in the “personality” department; something I can identify with. ExciteBots takes those shortcomings and smears a whole layer of personality across the game. It’s exactly what the first one should have been. Can’t wait to play more of it! —cortjezter
