The character design and art design in general are especially noteworthy. The characters and setting seem vaguely inspired by the French animated film The Triplets of Belleville, and lend a unique flavor we haven’t really seen yet in Japanese games to date. The solid art direction and unique take on the DS brain fad make this a title that might herald a new direction for the platform.
