Virtua Tennis 2009 on Wii started development before MotionPlus was announced
Virtua Tennis 2009 is shaping up to be a huge Tennis title on the Wii. It’s going to have all the content and features of the other versions, but we’re getting MotionPlus support! Seems like a match made in heaven, doesn’t it?
Well, this little slice of heaven wasn’t originally going to be a MotionPlus showcase. The devs behind the game have stated that work on this title began even before the MotionPlus was announced. Once that information came out, SEGA knew they needed to use the MotionPlus accessory, and Nintendo was more than happy to work with them. I think the final game will be a much better project for it.
