We reported earlier that Blitz Games is working on a Revolution title, and that we should be hearing more about it soon. It seems that Blitz Games may have accidentally revealed the Revolution official logo (for now) on their company website. Check out the image from their site below.

This is the very first time I have seen that logo used by a game related company, I have only seen this image before on messageboards in the past. What do you guys think, real or placeholder? Thanks to DevilsRejection for the info.

*UPDATE* From IGN’s mailbag

“Hi Matt! Digging a little deeper about the Blitz Games’ Revolution Game news, I found on their website (www.blitzgames.com) under the “corporate” section a logo for the console. Could this mean that the Revolution name and the logo are official?

Matt responds: No, sir. The official name of Nintendo’s next generation console has not yet been announced and the Big N itself has publicly stated that Revolution is only a codename. Developers need to refer to the machine as something and for now Revolution is as good as any other.”

Matt says no deal, but I am not sure I am ready to believe that IGN has all the answers, or even that IGN is telling the truth. They HAVE pulled the wool over our eyes a few times (ahem…Revolution console/controller images).

Plus, here is the original leaked Revolution logo spec sheet from last year. The origins are still unknown.
